It's been Months and Months

Here I am finally after all these months blogging again. I took the day of to do a little cleaning, and to spend extra time with my growing baby boy. Dylan is almost 17 months old now and loves LIZARDS!!! He's talking up a storm, speaking 20 plus words and believe me I'm counting. I laughed when my pediatrician asked me if he says 3-5 words yet ha!!!! My little buddy doesn't stop talking. I'm so grateful for the learning environment he's in at Michele's house (yes that's how she spells her name, one L).

Other wonderful news, Mitch is winding down with school and should be completely done at the end of April. He still needs to take his State exam which he says looks hard. I'm praying for his and asking you to please pray for him. He has come so far remembering all those huge pharmaceutical names, I'm so proud of him. I can't even pronounce half of them ha.

I'm still working, not to excited about this but.......I did get a promotion so that is exciting. This means half the pay and the option to work from home in case my little buddy get's sick. thank you Lord for providing for us Barrogas!!!! I would like to work my way into a part time job eventually. I love being able to spend time with Dylan and being able to get my daily tasks done during the day, but still love that extra cash coming in. I also like the idea of Dylan being in a learning environment, he thriving as I mentioned above.

Here are a few pictures of that last few months, enjoy! I will try to post more regularly, I promise!!

What 12 months?

Well, here we are 12 months later! I can't believe how fast this year has gone by. My baby is growing up! Dylan sure is a special boy, he's so smart and sweet. Mitch and I can't help but just LOVE and adore our little guy. God definitely knew what he was doing when he blessed us with Dyly. He is the perfect fit for our family.

A few things Dylan is doing at age one:

* He says about 30 words, momma, dada, UP, down, kitty, nanna, thank you, please, car, dog and barks, truck, and so many more. There are just too many to note at this time.
* Claps when he hears music
* Dances and bounces up and down when he hears music
* Screams or sings (we can't figure out which one it is)
* He repeats anything we say
* Cruises around, not quite walking yet
* He puts things in and takes things out of boxes
* He moves things around by pushing them on the floor
* He climbs into baskets (we really have to watch him)
* He stands on his own but doesn't know he can do this yet haha

There are so many more things that he does, he's thriving and as the doctor says "He's right on track" Happy first birthday to our little sweet blessing!! Here are some pictures from his birthday party.

We love you baby boy, XOXOXOXOXOXO

11 Months Old

Dylan LOVES his ball, the first thing he says in the morning is "ball" in his adorable little voice

Curious about Sadie cat's food, one day he decided to place a dog flash card on it, not sure what he was doing but I do know that he LOVES dog. I'm guessing he thought the dog was hungry =) Whatever his reason, he did it and it was too funny!! Makes me just adore my precious Dylan even more =)

After he placed the dog flash card on Sadie cat's food, he crawled off. He gave me a big grin. What a sweet boy Dylan is!!!

Showing off his new trick, he is letting everyone know that he will be one very, very soon =)

Finally after a long morning of pure fun! Dylan fell asleep in his high chair, he didn't even eat the rest of his cheerios!!! I can't believe that Dylan will be one soon! I mean where did this last year go? It's very bitter sweet for me. There is something truly special about Dylan. I'm looking forward to the next year. I know it will be full of first, full of fun, and most of all full of love.

It's finally fall here in San Diego, although the weather feels more like Summer. Fall means pumpkin time!!! So, this past weekend we went to Bates Nut Farm in Valley Center. It is a place my parents took me when I was a child, so it meant a lot to me to be able to take Dyly there. My parents went with us and we were able to get some really cute pictures. Dylan was in pumpkin heaven! He loved all the bright orange pumpkins and even got to crawl all over them =)

Poor little guy was pooped after all the fun and not to mention the HEAT!!! holy smoke it was hot last Saturday!! It looks like it was someone's nap time, hehe

Loving all these orange "balls" as he would call them
Picking the perfect pumpkin out =) and we did, I can't wait to carve it. can you believe Mitch has never carved one?!?!? It'll be fun and messy. I hope to make this a fun tradition for the many years to come.

Happy Fall everyone!!
